For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete. - 2 Corinthians 10:3-6Why do I think my words will win this fight? Why do I think I am able to fight this? You clearly remind us through the New Testament that this fight is not against humans - this fight is against spirits and demons. My words will not win the fight. But You have already won the fight with Your power.
May these verses make me a prayer warrior, not a worrier. May I humbly come before Your throne and pray in You for you to defeat the enemy. Remind me that the enemy has no stronghold on You. And because I am in You (Hallelujah!), the enemy has no stronghold on me. You are my protector.
Remind me Lord that when I am weak, you are strong. When I am doubting, you are faithful. Take away my unbelief and replace it with a heart of faithfulness that surpasses understanding. For love is stronger than evil. You are Love. Thank you Lord that you have given me the tools to fight this fight.
May all of my thoughts be obedient to You, Lord. May my thoughts not even disobey You Lord. I want to honor you with my actions, my words, and my thoughts.
